I must say that a reliable caterer is one of the greater joys in life. In all the years I've known him, Mr. Hilyard has not failed me once. And he has come through yet again with the lovliest menu for the ball this Saturday. I really have high hopes for the event; Glinda Crook is quite the speaker.

I have a question, and I promise it has absolutely nothing to do with tablecloths colours.

I was thinking that we should use one of the smaller studies (the one with the lovely Turkish carpet) for a gentlemen's lounge and a place to collect donations. What do you think of that? I know we used one of the parlours last time, but this could possibly work better since the wards are excellent. And do we have enough liquor, or should I place an order for some?

Added a short while later... Oh, and Marius Lestrange has invited us for lunch on Sunday to meet some of his friends from France.
